Downtown Baby?

One common question: Will you all still live downtown?

Why yes, we will! We are going to have to switch condos, but we will still be downtown. Come August, we'll move into the two-bedroom, two-bath condo that I bought in 2006 (and have been renting since we got married). We'll gain more square footage, but lose a TON of closet and storage space. We are going to have do three things. 1) Get creative with the limited closet space, 2) look into IKEA storage solutions and 3) purge. Sam is pretty happy about the purging part! Ha! We are going to miss our neighbors (and rooftop deck) at our 2nd Avenue condo building. It is a great building to call home! (Shameless plug: If you know of anyone looking to buy or rent a great one-bedroom downtown Nashville condo, please let us know.)

Another common question: How are Chloe (the cat) and Stab (the dog) taking the news?

I'm pretty sure they don't understand, but once the baby comes I have a few predictions for their reactions. Chloe will be jealous and make a lot of noise to try to get our attention. Stab will be happy-go-lucky about everything. He'll especially enjoy any table scraps that will get tossed his way (our two-year-old niece Jesi is one of his favorite people because of how much she feeds him!). He'll probably be very protective of the little guy or gal.
